Dr. Caponigro earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology at St. John’s University; and received a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at The New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Post-Doc, he completed a two year residency in Podiatric medicine and surgery at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, an affiliate of Weill Cornell University. He completed his training in New Jersey, at Saddle Brook Surgical Center, where he specialized in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. Currently Dr. Caponigro is board certified in Foot Surgery and Podiatric Orthopedics and Medicine.

A native of Sunnyside, Queens, Dr. Telwala is proud to give back to the community he grew up in. He completed a demanding three-year surgical residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, a Level 1 Trauma Center, with additional training at NYP Weill Cornell, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year.
Dr. Telwala earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Adelphi University and his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from The New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
He is fluent in Gujarati and Hindi, allowing him to connect deeply with a diverse patient population. As a former athlete, he understands the urgency of healing and performance—and brings that same energy to every treatment plan.
When he’s not treating patients, you’ll find Dr. Telwala playing basketball, traveling, spending time with family, or catching the latest movies.
